Base Salary
$185k - $232k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the GenAI-powered security product from architecture and application development through production rollout, monitoring, and field iteration.
- Build the detection-to-response harness, including orchestration, prompting, voice generation and customization, and evaluation and regression suites.
- Define and maintain precision, false-positive, timing, reliability, safety, and operational standards for a real-world-actuating system.
- Design and build production services, APIs, and integration code connecting detection and voice capabilities into the product.
- Integrate with ML/LLM Ops platforms, data contracts, and detection models while feeding field behavior back to ML teams.
- Make build-versus-buy decisions for model hosting, voice/TTS providers, frameworks, and shared platform capabilities based on cost, latency, and maintenance trade-offs.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building and shipping production software, with backend or full-stack experience and strong systems and API design judgment.
- Experience building products on top of ML or GenAI models, including orchestration, prompting, retrieval or tool-calling, and preferably voice/TTS generation and evaluation.
- Experience with real-time, event-driven, actuating, security, robotics, IoT, or other safety-relevant systems requiring precision and latency discipline.
- Track record of owning a product or major feature end to end through production delivery.
- Experience collaborating with ML scientists and platform, data, and product teams.
- Demonstrated pragmatic technology selection and build-versus-buy judgment under cost and latency constraints.
- Strong Python skills plus experience with application stacks such as TypeScript and Node.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: computer vision or video detection products, production voice/TTS customization, LangGraph, MCP frameworks, vector databases, inference or serving platforms, evaluation frameworks for nondeterministic systems, and edge-to-cloud or IoT systems.
