Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver business value.
- Provide technical leadership and support architectural and technology decisions.
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Maintain high standards of code quality, reliability, performance, and security through engineering best practices.
- Support continuous integration, automated testing, and continuous delivery practices.
- Mentor engineers and encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
- Drive continuous improvement of systems, processes, and engineering practices across the team.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience developing backend applications using Java and Kotlin.
- Proven experience designing and building scalable, maintainable, and high-performing software solutions, including distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, engineering best practices, and modern design patterns.
- Experience with AWS and cloud-native technologies.
- Familiarity with Kafka, event-driven architecture, and REST.
- Knowledge of automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
- Ability to lead technical discussions, make architectural decisions, and guide solutions to complex engineering challenges.
- Experience mentoring engineers and supporting their technical growth.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills in Agile, cross-functional teams.
- Pragmatic approach to balancing technical excellence with business needs and delivery goals.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
