Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, integrate, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain complex software applications.
- Gather requirements and prepare BRD/SRD documentation as needed.
- Develop test plans, test data, verification plans, quality assurance procedures, and test-automation suites.
- Participate in code reviews, change-controlled deployments, continuous improvement, and technical debt reduction.
- Collaborate with data engineers, business users, project managers, and other engineers to deliver shared team objectives.
- Resolve hardware, software, and communications malfunctions while considering business impact.
- Mentor junior-level engineers and promote reuse of existing products and functionality.
- Complete required training and use learning tools such as Pluralsight for professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 2–6 years of experience in software development.
- Experience developing both front-end and back-end applications.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle, cross-platform interoperability, application development toolkits, frameworks, and containerization.
- Experience with technologies such as C#, Java, HTML, Node.js, CSS, JSON, Angular, and JavaScript.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and communications malfunctions and understand their business impact.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Strong teamwork and organizational skills.
