Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Go or C++.
- Build and optimize low-latency real-time microservices across distributed architectures.
- Develop and enhance WebSocket, REST, and real-time APIs.
- Work with RTP, SRTP, WebRTC, and related media streaming protocols.
- Implement and optimize WebRTC Selective Forwarding Units for scalable audio/video streaming.
- Integrate and optimize media workflows using FFmpeg and GStreamer.
- Work with MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB and design efficient real-time data models.
- Improve backend security, reliability, scalability, and performance using modern operational practices.
- Collaborate with Frontend, DevOps, and Product teams on end-to-end features.
- Diagnose performance bottlenecks and optimize systems for speed and scale.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on backend development experience using Go and/or C++.
- Strong expertise in real-time media streaming, including RTP/SRTP, WebRTC, and WebRTC SFU implementation; WebRTC is required.
- Deep understanding of video and audio processing with FFmpeg, GStreamer, or similar frameworks.
- Understanding of TCP, UDP, ICE, STUN/TURN, and WebSockets.
- Strong knowledge of concurrency, asynchronous programming, and performance tuning.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful and WebSocket APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Proficiency in C++ or Go for media streaming.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry is a plus.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Experience with real-time communication platforms is an added advantage.
