Responsibilities
- Write, review, and maintain full-stack software throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop enterprise applications within an Agile software delivery team and contribute to sprint goals.
- Decompose acceptance criteria to understand backlog deliverables, complexity, and risk.
- Contribute to application design, architecture, documentation, technical standards, and software design patterns.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, technical leaders, and developers to deliver solutions aligned with broader technical strategy.
- Support technical leadership, mentoring, and development of teams of five or more developers.
- Contribute to the broader Citi and GFT technical communities and team-level Agile and Scrum processes.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience as a software engineer and 5+ years of Java development experience.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with software engineering practices including unit testing, automation, design patterns, peer review, and code quality.
- Strong understanding of data structures and object-oriented principles using Java.
- Experience with cloud-native development and container orchestration tools such as Serverless, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Experience with service-oriented and microservices architectures, including REST and GraphQL implementations.
- Experience with Spring Boot and exposure to CI/CD pipelines such as Tekton, Harness, CircleCI, and CloudBees Jenkins.
- Experience with Agile and iterative software delivery.
- Preferred experience with horizontally scalable, highly available, highly resilient, and low-latency applications.
- Preferred exposure to cloud infrastructure, event-driven architecture, API management, infrastructure as code, security, observability, monitoring, databases, and web technologies.
- Preferred experience mentoring and providing technical leadership for teams of five or more developers.
