Base Salary
$118k - $212k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop open-source AI Inference Networking software within a globally distributed development team.
- Cultivate Equinix’s presence in open-source organizations and standards bodies, including CNCF and the Linux Foundation.
- Understand and document product features, estimate product backlog effort, and help define delivery schedules.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies for product features and platform goals.
- Design and implement resilient network systems while following engineering and development standards.
- Prioritize and parallelize work, respond to ad-hoc requests, and support network automation, dashboarding, or monitoring capabilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing and building highly redundant network infrastructure, including IPv4, IPv6, IP Routing, RIB/FIB, BGP, PBR, CSP routing, Zero Trust, SDN, and cloud networking.
- 5+ years of experience applying networking and security principles in cloud infrastructure deployments.
- Demonstrated experience with SSH, TLS, IPSEC, WireGuard, IAM, VPCs, IaaS peering, and VPN solutions.
- Deep understanding of the OSI layer model and its application, with a track record of delivering resilient network systems and services.
- Strong hands-on technical skills and the ability to work deeply on complex network system design and implementation.
- Familiarity with APIs and designing solutions for network automation, dashboarding, or monitoring.
- Programming experience in languages such as Go, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
- Experience improving CI/CD with GitHub Actions and using DORA metrics to improve processes.

- Full-time base pay is targeted at $118,000–$176,000 annually for the Dallas Infomart Office and $142,000–$212,000 annually for the Redwood City Office; bonus and potential equity may also be available.
