Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and develop software solutions for PDI products.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, document solutions, and handle customer issues with appropriate urgency.
- Perform engineering-level testing, identify defects, and troubleshoot and debug production issues.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and contribute to AI agents, skills, and other engineering productivity tools.
- Guide and train less experienced engineers.
- Consult with Product Management on solution feasibility and high-level effort estimates.
- Prepare case status and risk assessments for management to support issue escalation and prioritization.
- Analyze technical challenges and determine preferred solutions in an Agile environment.
- Work with the Product Owner to clarify and estimate feature work.
Requirements
- 5–9 years of experience designing and developing new software applications or maintaining existing applications in a software product development environment.
- Required proficiency in .NET and C#.
- Required proficiency in SQL performance troubleshooting and tuning.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio and Azure DevOps.
- Experience using AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude Code or similar systems.
- Preferred: at least 1 year of experience serving as a technical team lead.
- At least 2 years of practical experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, prioritize competing deadlines, and solve problems under pressure.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Ability to influence decisions without direct authority and learn independently.
