Base Salary
$210k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services in Java and Spring Boot for Postman’s internal Cloud Platform.
- Architect services that manage deployment, lifecycle, and scaling across Kubernetes clusters.
- Implement GitOps workflows with ArgoCD for continuous delivery.
- Integrate cloud-native tools including Istio, Helm, and Terraform.
- Ensure service performance, reliability, scalability, security awareness, and compliance alignment.
- Apply testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and documentation practices.
- Collaborate with Cloud Architects, DevOps engineers, and product teams.
- Contribute to open-source projects where applicable.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate (JPA).
- Experience designing and maintaining APIs and distributed backend services.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Argo, Istio, and Terraform.
- Strong understanding of scalability, extensibility, resilience, and software design principles.
- Experience with Gradle, Maven, and JUnit.
- Proficiency with Git and Gitflow workflows.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Security mindset and awareness of compliance frameworks.
