Responsibilities
- Build and maintain developer tools, APIs, microservices, shared libraries, and the Mesh Connect Marketplace.
- Enable software engineers to build, deploy, and run applications more easily.
- Deliver high-quality software while improving build processes, tooling, automation, and shared developer workflows.
- Help shape the technical direction of products and mentor junior developers.
- Collaborate with the team, remove impediments, and contribute to a strong technical community.
Requirements
- At least 5–10 years of experience as a polyglot programmer.
- Strong experience developing APIs and microservices with Java.
- Experience with Node.js or Python is desirable.
- Mandatory experience with JSON and other data formats.
- Strong Git and GitHub practices, including pull requests, branching strategies, code reviews, and CI integration.
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle, including requirements, design, build, test, release, and operation.
- Strong understanding and experience with public cloud, ideally Azure and/or AWS.
- Exposure to SaaS platforms such as Confluent Kafka, MongoDB, and Harness is desirable.
- Interest in or experience with Test-Driven Development, pair programming, and continuous delivery and deployment.
