Responsibilities
- Architect enterprise conversational AI solutions spanning voice, chat, dialogue systems, intent classification, entity extraction, agentic orchestration, and human-agent escalation.
- Lead technical discovery workshops, scope pre-sales solutions, create architecture proposals, and present to technical and executive stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary technical contact from solution design through delivery, go-live, and post-launch optimization.
- Build and maintain reusable accelerator components, dialogue templates, integration blueprints, backend AI services, orchestration layers, and AWS Lambda functions.
- Define conversational AI quality standards, including intent accuracy benchmarks, latency SLAs, fallback handling, A/B testing, observability, and real-time feedback loops.
- Contribute to the Convogent roadmap and evaluate new LLM and foundation-model capabilities.
- Embed governance controls such as audit trails, escalation policies, and compliance guardrails into conversational AI workflows.
- Mentor junior engineers and solution architects and lead internal knowledge-sharing sessions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of overall experience in software engineering, AI/ML, or solution architecture.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying conversational AI systems in production.
- Proven experience leading enterprise AI engagements from architecture through delivery.
- Production experience with large language models, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning evaluation, and model evaluation.
- Hands-on ability to write and review production-quality Python and Node.js code.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty is preferred.
- Experience with Amazon Connect CCP, Contact Flows, and large-scale contact center AI transformations is preferred.
- Open-source contributions to conversational AI or agentic AI projects are preferred.
- Consulting, professional services, or startup experience delivering multiple concurrent client engagements is preferred.
- Exposure to MLOps practices, model versioning, AI CI/CD pipelines, shadow deployment, and canary rollouts is preferred.
- Experience with multimodal AI systems combining voice, text, and structured data is preferred.
