Responsibilities
- Create and maintain extensible, reliable, diagnosable, and maintainable code for products, services, and features.
- Contribute to architecture proposals, design documents, technical investigations, and solution design decisions.
- Ensure designs meet performance, scalability, resiliency, cost, security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
- Identify and improve engineering and developer tools, including responsible reuse of open-source or internal code.
- Deploy features safely, monitor dependencies, support production-like testing infrastructure, and determine when rollback plans are needed.
- Maintain live-site operations and respond to service issues using security best practices and minimum required permissions.
- Use AI tools and practices throughout the software development lifecycle while reviewing AI-generated changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: master's degree in computer science or a related technical field and 3+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $102,100-$202,200 per year; location-specific ranges apply in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.
