Base Salary

$100k - $215k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Review compute platform, workflow, messaging, AI, and observability requirements with Research and Investment Technology teams.
  • Design and develop scalable, cost-effective, low-maintenance solutions for on-premise and AWS environments using Python and other languages.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform.
  • Develop automated build and deployment pipelines with unit and integration tests.
  • Provide production support and participate in an on-call rotation to prevent disruptions to investment processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of professional software development experience using Python or another object-oriented language.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithm design, complexity analysis, and computer science fundamentals.
  • Ability to write maintainable code, learn new technologies independently, and translate technical direction into functional solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving, self-direction, and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred: experience with large-scale distributed systems, high-performance cloud-native solutions, AWS, hardware architecture, operating systems, networking, Kubernetes, Docker, resilient deployment pipelines, Git, GitLab, Helm, Terraform, and the financial domain.
