Responsibilities
- Define and govern ACWS integration architecture, standards, patterns, and the interface roadmap.
- Design secure APIs, Appian integrations, connected systems, data exchanges, and event-driven interfaces.
- Maintain interface-control documents, API contracts, mappings, schemas, and system-of-record responsibilities.
- Establish integration requirements for security, availability, performance, monitoring, error handling, and recovery.
- Coordinate integration design and testing across application, data, cloud, cybersecurity, and external-system teams.
- Define technical standards and oversee implementation across the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Appian Certified Lead Developer certification; AWS certification is preferred.
- CompTIA Security+ certification is required.
- 8+ years of systems architecture experience supporting DoD environments.
- Experience with enterprise architecture, systems integration, application modernization, Appian-based solution delivery, Architecture Decision Record governance, integration patterns, and secure cloud-based enterprise solutions.
- Experience with Appian connected systems and integrations, including interface-control documents, API contracts, canonical data models, authentication and authorization patterns, error handling, retries, idempotency, monitoring, performance, and integration testing.
- Experience with system integration, application modernization, and data architecture.
- Experience supporting cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
- Working knowledge of AI concepts and practical applications.
- Advanced cloud, architecture, or Appian certifications are preferred.
- Experience with Army or DoD enterprise systems, Appian-first design approaches, data architecture, and long-range modernization planning is strongly desired.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot and/or an approved equivalent AI solution.

- The posted salary range is $135,000—$145,000 USD.
