Base Salary
$118k - $197k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and programs.
- Design, write, review, and maintain code that follows software engineering standards.
- Develop scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable applications.
- Evaluate technical solutions, architectural trade-offs, and feasibility while planning for long-term capabilities.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, story creation, estimation, and sprint execution.
- Create and manage development tasks and status updates in applicable software such as RTC or Jira.
- Work with principal engineers to design and implement complex technical solutions.
- Monitor technical progress against project plans and communicate issues or blockers to the Scrum Master.
- Mentor software engineers and help develop their technical and leadership skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
- Seven years of experience in algorithm and data structure design and analysis and building and deploying scalable, highly available systems.
- Five years of experience with at least two modern programming languages and at least three of React, Angular v4+, NodeJS, NoSQL databases, HTML5, CSS, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services.
- Five years of experience with web services technologies such as REST, HTTPS, and JSON.
- Five years of experience with two or more general-purpose programming languages, including options such as Java, Python, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, JavaScript, or Go.
- Five years of experience defining system architectures and evaluating technical feasibility trade-offs.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering practices across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, unit testing, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing large-scale consumer-facing applications.
- Preferred master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred seven years of experience working with technology systems, designing solutions, or developing applications in healthcare.
- Preferred five years of experience translating design mock-ups, prototypes, and user stories into working applications.
- Preferred three years of experience with machine learning, particularly natural language understanding, machine translation, deep neural networks, and related fields.
- Ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers and learn additional programming languages as needed.

- Office-based position with 0%–25% travel required.
- Physical work site required; occasional travel between work sites may be required.
- Base pay range is $118,400.00–$196,800.00, with geographic differentials possible for certain locations.
