Responsibilities
- Design highly scalable, mission-critical brokerage systems.
- Develop and enhance middle- and back-office systems, including gRPC microservices, React-based interfaces, and third-party vendor integrations.
- Improve the core framework to support multiple languages, currencies, and markets.
- Collaborate with engineering leads across regions and global cross-functional teams.
- Troubleshoot incidents and bugs and serve as incident commander during regional business hours.
- Lead regional engineering reliability efforts and provide proactive 24x7 stability.
- Support regional recruitment initiatives, mentor engineers, and foster engineering culture.
- Participate in on-call support and timely engineering projects as needed.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Go or similar backend languages and robust system architecture.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and proven software architecture experience.
- Experience with event-driven design.
- Ability to lead and troubleshoot incidents with authority.
- Strong communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote, globally distributed environment and under pressure.
- Preferred experience with AI tooling such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex.
- Preferred experience with domain-driven design, global teams, startups, or financial services.
- Preferred experience with brokerage systems, trading platforms, financial APIs, market data, transaction processing, trade lifecycle management, settlement, double-entry accounting, and multi-currency financial applications.
- Familiarity with financial-market regulatory compliance requirements.
