Base Salary
$104k - $176k/yr
Responsibilities
- Turn deployment, provisioning, and testing infrastructure primitives into simple self-service paths for engineers.
- Build frameworks and governance guardrails that allow teams to deploy internally built AI agents safely and control agent access and actions.
- Define infrastructure-as-a-service primitives with engineering teams.
- Build monitoring and alerting to identify issues early and support enterprise-grade SLAs.
- Create opinionated abstractions, tooling, and guardrails for safe use of platform primitives.
- Improve observability and the everyday ergonomics of developer tools.
- Help shape a future formal on-call rotation while working with the existing platform support team.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building developer tooling, CI/CD pipelines, or similar software.
- Comfort using Kubernetes as a platform for building and deploying software rather than primarily administering clusters.
- Experience building or exploring developer platform integrations such as GitHub Apps, internal CLIs, or MCP (Model Context Protocol).
- Experience using AI tools in personal development workflows and a considered perspective on their appropriate use.
- Strong software design and systems-thinking skills involving interfaces, boundaries, edge cases, and failure modes.
- Ability to collaborate and document effectively across global, remote teams.
- This is not an entry-level or new-grad role, and the position is not intended for candidates whose primary experience is systems administration, heavy Terraform ownership, or cluster administration.
