Base Salary
$53k - $216k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with customers to understand operational challenges, constraints, success criteria, and the definition of done.
- Translate open-ended problems into technical designs and implementation plans covering architecture, data flows, integrations, security, and rollout strategy.
- Build AI-enabled solutions integrating customer systems with Remote’s platform, including data pipelines, workflow automations, tool integrations, and agentic services.
- Own deployments across reliability, performance, observability, incident response, and continuous improvement.
- Develop AI evaluation and measurement systems including success metrics, test harnesses, golden datasets, regression suites, and quality, safety, and privacy guardrails.
- Use real data to validate outputs, quantify impact, and iterate based on evidence.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to ship high-quality solutions and upstream reusable components.
- Create reusable playbooks, reference architectures, templates, and internal tooling from one-off solutions.
- Represent customer needs, edge cases, and constraints in product strategy discussions.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience shipping and owning production backend and/or full-stack software, including debugging, instrumentation, and an on-call mindset.
- Strong understanding of integrations and systems, including APIs, event-driven systems, webhooks, OAuth or service accounts, data modeling, idempotency, and failure modes.
- Applied AI/LLM experience beyond prototypes, including prompt and tool design, RAG and retrieval patterns, evaluation, latency and cost trade-offs, and reliability practices.
- Ability to turn ambiguous problem statements into shipped solutions with minimal hand-holding.
- Clear, structured written communication and ability to explain trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with enterprise environments, security reviews, compliance constraints, procurement, and change management.
- Preferred experience with agent frameworks and/or workflow orchestration systems.
- Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, identity and access management, or adjacent enterprise domains is preferred.
- Preferred experience with multi-tenant SaaS, RBAC, and privacy-by-design practices.
