Base Salary
$120k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Act as a designated responsible individual, guide engineers, participate in on-call monitoring, and restore services during incidents.
- Improve availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance while standardizing monitoring and operations at scale.
- Create design documents and develop, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code.
- Own assigned services across the lifecycle and cloud environments, including design, development, deployment, maintenance, and commercial-cloud parity.
- Drive automation and process optimization to reduce manual effort and improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with stakeholders and engineering teams on project plans, release plans, work items, code reviews, and design reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus 4+ years of relevant technical experience, or a master's degree plus 2+ years, or equivalent experience.
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with SCI access based on an SSBI with polygraph, with the ability to maintain required security screenings.
- U.S. citizenship verification is required due to applicable government customer restrictions.
- Preferred: doctorate plus 3+ years, master's plus 6+ years, bachelor's plus 8+ years, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 3+ years working with large-scale cloud or distributed systems.
- Experience writing automation scripts or functional programming code using languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Shell scripting.
- Experience developing technical expertise across product architecture, code, features, and operations to improve availability, security, quality, observability, reliability, efficiency, or performance.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and strong written and oral communication skills.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $119,800-$234,700 per year, with a separate San Francisco Bay Area and New York City range of USD $160,200-$261,000 per year.
- The role may be eligible for benefits and additional compensation.
