Responsibilities
- Develop new end-to-end features for Raft’s Data Platform from MVP demonstrations through production deployment.
- Design feature architecture and select technologies that meet mission requirements.
- Build TypeScript and React applications.
- Create WebSocket and RESTful APIs.
- Develop solutions involving DAGs, queuing systems, microservices, and cloud-native environments.
- Work with large-scale relational and non-relational databases to support low-latency requirements.
- Collaborate with the team and make decisions aligned with team objectives.
- Support solutions involving imagery and video from drones, satellites, and other military assets.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on engineering experience.
- At least 5 years of TypeScript and React experience.
- Experience with DAGs and queuing systems.
- Experience creating WebSocket and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with AWS and microservices.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch or comparable large-scale databases.
- Deep knowledge of software design and architecture patterns.
- Experience building and releasing software in cloud-native environments such as Kubernetes.
- Ability to obtain Security+ certification within the first 90 days of employment.
- Bachelor’s background in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to conduct all work within the continental United States.
- Prior experience working with Machine Learning Engineers or AI systems is highly preferred.
- Python experience is a plus.
