Base Salary
$138k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications for Internal Audit in collaboration with business and customer stakeholders.
- Develop Java and Python cloud-native microservices, REST APIs, service contracts, and integrations with internal and third-party services.
- Build and enhance React-based client experiences using modern web engineering practices.
- Deploy containerized services to private and public cloud environments and support application releases.
- Create proofs of concept, evaluate frameworks and libraries, and establish engineering best practices.
- Conduct design and peer code reviews while promoting code quality, security, resiliency, testing, and maintainability.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated release processes across environments.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies, technical reviews, configuration management, deployment, and operational readiness efforts.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools, validate generated outputs, and share reusable engineering patterns.
- Support monitoring, incident triage, root-cause analysis, and preventative fixes for operational stability.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Experience building distributed applications with Java 8+, Spring Boot or Spring, and RESTful microservices.
- Experience developing and maintaining Python services or automation in a large enterprise environment.
- Working knowledge of React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and API integration patterns.
- Experience with CI/CD practices covering builds, tests, quality checks, packaging, deployment, and environment promotion.
- Experience with Docker, ECS and/or Kubernetes, and deploying applications to cloud environments, preferably AWS.
- Understanding of application resiliency, production readiness, logging, monitoring, alerting, performance, and operational support.
- Understanding of secure software development, authentication and authorization, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to validate and refine their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, and safe engineering workflows.
- Preferred experience integrating LLM-based capabilities, retrieval patterns, evaluation approaches, guardrails, AI agent workflows, cloud services, and event-driven or messaging patterns.
- Familiarity with Angular and strong research, investigation, presentation, evaluation, and technical communication skills.
