Base Salary
$140k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Run customer discovery, workflow shadowing, and field-note activities with operators and decision owners.
- Implement thin production product slices across frontend, backend, data, integrations, permissions, tests, and deployment paths.
- Write tests, run realistic workflows, inspect logs, and document proven, missing, and uncertain behavior.
- Explain tradeoffs, risks, and next steps to non-technical customers without overclaiming.
- Identify reusable patterns from customer work and feed them into product and engineering.
- Carry ambiguous work end to end from discovery through build, demo, rollout, and follow-up.
Requirements
- Personally shipped production software and can explain the implementation, verification, and user impact.
- Comfort working in messy customer environments where the initial request may not be the underlying problem.
- Ability to communicate with operators in plain language and translate findings into code.
- Experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, shadcn/Tailwind, and frontend user-flow implementation.
- Experience with Python, uv, Pydantic, Django or Django Ninja or FastAPI, background workers, and typed APIs.
- Experience with Postgres, migrations, service roles, tenant scoping, and auditability.
- Experience with pydantic-ai agents, typed outputs, evaluations, and provider selection across Gemini, OpenAI, and Bedrock.
- Ability to debug Vercel, Cloudflare, AWS, or GCP deployments, environment configuration, logs, and customer-facing behavior.
- Strong evidence discipline, product judgment, communication skills, and ability to distinguish facts, inferences, assumptions, and risks.
- Nice-to-have experience with AWS IAM, GitHub OIDC, Lambda, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, least privilege, infrastructure as code, regulated industries, forward-deployed work, solutions engineering, or founding engineering.
