Responsibilities
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to conduct discovery and clarify ambiguous requirements.
- Translate stakeholder needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
- Design proofs of concept to evaluate possible solutions for future services.
- Enable delivery and governance by collaborating with engineers on detailed roadmaps.
- Define observability requirements covering metrics, logs, and traces.
- Participate in design reviews and architecture review boards.
- Shape and document solution architectures, target-state designs, and integration designs.
- Collaborate with internal groups, third parties, and external suppliers.
Requirements
- Experience designing or implementing distributed system architectures.
- Experience as a technical architect or technical lead.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience working within an agile methodology.
- Knowledge of software engineering technologies such as Java or C#.
- Experience with multiple database technologies, including relational and document databases.
- Cloud architecture experience or qualifications.
- Architecture-related qualifications such as TOGAF are preferred.
