Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and support high-quality production software for cloud-based payment applications.
- Build new payment flows end to end, from business requirements through coding and production support.
- Review and debug code written by other engineers and establish standards for secure coding, peer review, validation, and automated testing.
- Drive responsible adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering and automation practices.
- Lead architectural evaluation sessions and promote reusable technical patterns across the team.
- Coach engineers on safe and compliant use of AI in delivery workflows.
- Lead software engineering communities of practice focused on new and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to application resiliency, operational stability, and continuous delivery.
Requirements
- Hands-on software coding experience with a proven record of success.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, ideally Java.
- Experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs and outputs.
- Experience coaching engineers on compliant adoption of AI within delivery practices.
- Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Advanced understanding of application resiliency, security, and software delivery practices.
- Demonstrated proficiency in a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
- Knowledge of financial services, IT systems, and practical cloud-native development.
- Hands-on AI experience and understanding of core AI concepts are preferred.
- Ability to self-direct delivery and take end-to-end ownership is preferred.
