Base Salary
$235k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain shared infrastructure services and platform components for product and application teams.
- Architect and manage highly available Kubernetes platforms as a service in multi-cloud and multi-region environments.
- Develop Go-based internal tools and automation for infrastructure provisioning and management, along with Python services and automation.
- Build shared event-driven architecture, messaging, distributed systems, relational database, service mesh, observability, and monitoring platforms.
- Create standardized CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows for development teams.
- Design documented APIs, provide technical guidance to internal consumers, and participate in on-call rotations.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of Principal-level experience in infrastructure development, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering focused on tools and services for engineers.
- Deep production Kubernetes expertise, including single-tenant and multi-tenant platform architectures.
- Strong Go and Python programming skills for backend services and infrastructure automation.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; multi-cloud abstraction experience is preferred.
- Experience with event-driven architecture, message queuing, CI/CD, distributed systems, multi-region platforms, observability, service mesh, RESTful API design, and relational databases.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach toward internal development teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical or military experience.
