Responsibilities

  • Design and implement BSP and bootloader features as part of a team-based software project.
  • Design and implement secure boot features.
  • Create software design documents and participate in design reviews.
  • Assist with product verification, validation, troubleshooting, and testing.
  • Communicate problems early and propose solutions.
  • Lead or participate in troubleshooting across multiple teams and vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience designing and developing BSPs and bootloaders.
  • At least 5 years of C experience.
  • Experience with ARM-based SoC development.
  • At least 2 years of Linux kernel driver development experience, including device tree, platform drivers, interrupt handling, and power management.
  • Preferred qualifications include reading electronic schematics; automotive Ethernet experience; JTAG, oscilloscope, and logic analyzer experience; UART, I2C, SPI, CAN/CAN FD driver development; SHE, HSM, cryptography, eMMC, NAND, NOR memory controller, custom bootloader, and SVN or Git experience.
  • Successful candidates must provide proof of degree completion; degrees obtained outside Canada require an Education Credential Assessment showing Canadian equivalency.
  • Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Benefits

  • Annual salary range of $96,000.00 to $146,000.00, with potential eligibility for an annual compensation bonus program.
  • Hybrid position requiring onsite work four or more days per week.
