Base Salary

$99k - $225k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, create, and implement complete AI and machine learning systems for defense and intelligence clients.
  • Build production-grade ML solutions involving LLMs, agents, and complex automation frameworks.
  • Train and deploy models across multiple modalities of data.
  • Deploy and integrate production-grade ML models using cloud and container orchestration platforms.
  • Connect agents to APIs, cloud platforms, and databases.
  • Evaluate LLM performance and build observation layers for stakeholders.
  • Design robust, scalable service-based software applications and assess architectural tradeoffs.
  • Support ML operationalization, software deployment, and integration across mission environments.
  • Deploy and manage data brokering solutions and contribute to client-facing project work and business development.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as a machine learning engineer building production-grade ML solutions.
  • At least 3 years of professional or academic data science or data research experience, including training or deploying multimodal models.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in cloud environments, including AWS and Azure.
  • At least 2 years of experience deploying and integrating production-grade ML models using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with large language models, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and AI agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, PydanticAI, or LlamaIndex.
  • Experience evaluating LLM performance and building observation layers using tools such as Grafana, Langfuse, LangSmith, or Phoenix.
  • Experience designing scalable service-based software applications and evaluating architectural tradeoffs.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance; existing Secret clearance is preferred.
  • Preferred experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, llama.cpp, vLLM, deep learning, computer vision, NLP, signal processing, Kafka, Redpanda, and Confluent.
  • Preferred client engagement, client-facing project, business development, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational experience.
