Base Salary
$120k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deliver code components powering services, servers, distributed systems, and backend architecture.
- Incorporate AI, machine learning, and computer vision capabilities into Microsoft products and services.
- Evaluate requirements, resources, and alternatives to drive ML solutions.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and construct structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data stores to support frameworks and models.
- Develop custom algorithms, frameworks, and models or leverage available tools, libraries, and applications.
- Deploy ML solutions and develop methodologies to scale them.
- Present findings and solutions to clients and team members.
- Identify and evaluate ML use cases including object detection, optical character recognition, automation, predictive modeling, pattern analysis, natural language processing, and fraud detection.
- Maintain knowledge of advances in machine learning and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and an active Secret-level security clearance or higher are required.
- Must be able to work full time at a client site in Washington, DC.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in machine learning, data science, statistics, computer science, economics, mathematics, information systems, or a similar field is preferred.
- At least two years of professional experience delivering machine learning solutions, including backend, services, distributed-systems, AI, ML, or computer-vision work.
- Experience with object detection and computer vision models such as YOLO, MMDetection, R-CNN, SSD, FPN, and RetinaNet.
- Programming experience with Python, R, Scala, SQL, JavaScript, C/C++, and Java.
- Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Spark ML/MLlib, and Jupyter.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to multitask and remain flexible.
- Active TS clearance, data science/ML/AI/cloud certifications, and experience with IT project teams, SDLC, and DevOps methodologies are nice to have.
- Experience with Hadoop, MapReduce, Pig, Kafka, cloud-based databases, data lakes, data warehouses, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services, AWS SageMaker, AWS Polly, AWS Rekognition, DataRobot, or H2O.ai is preferred.
