Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and validate cybersecurity controls for cloud applications, software products, and connected medical devices.
  • Lead complex cybersecurity initiatives, technical security reviews, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing coordination, and remediation strategies.
  • Use manual and automated testing to identify code flaws, misconfigurations, insecure software, and emerging vulnerabilities.
  • Create release security artifacts including SBOMs, threat models, vulnerability remediation evidence, and security documentation.
  • Apply secure coding, dependency management, configuration hardening, authentication, certificate management, digital signatures, incident response, and disaster recovery practices.
  • Assess cloud systems and medical devices for security risks and support compliance with ISO, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Use AI-assisted tools, agents, automations, and MCP servers to improve vulnerability triage, CVE and SBOM analysis, evidence collection, dashboarding, documentation, and remediation tracking.
  • Communicate cybersecurity risks, requirements, findings, and solutions to engineering teams, customers, prospects, leadership, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree and seven years of relevant experience are required.
  • At least five years of cybersecurity, product security, IT security, or related experience is preferred, with seven or more years preferred and hands-on product-security engineering experience favored.
  • Hands-on experience with web, mobile, and cloud infrastructure security testing using DAST, SAST, SCA, SBOM-generation, network-based, and agent-based vulnerability-scanning tools is preferred.
  • A relevant certification such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSP, or CEH, or equivalent, is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, prior product-development cybersecurity experience, and familiarity with diagnostic equipment or medical devices are preferred.
  • Experience applying AI tools, AI agents, Skills and Automations, and MCP servers to cybersecurity workflows is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST cybersecurity frameworks, and audit and certification processes is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, independent judgment, documentation, communication, collaboration, and peer-review skills are required.
