Responsibilities
- Participate in daily stand-ups and provide testing input for user story creation.
- Create test plans, test scripts, test cases, and test data.
- Execute automated functional and non-functional tests and record results.
- Open and close defect tickets and triage field-reported issues by reproducing them locally.
- Attend design meetings with developers, test automation engineers, and architects to improve testability.
- Install, configure, and operate the product in test and production environments.
- Lead development and enhancement initiatives, support cloud services and deployment processes, and help reduce technical debt.
- Provide technical guidance, conduct peer reviews, mentor team members, and promote knowledge sharing.
- Support cross-functional collaboration, Agile practices, software development standards, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required; a graduate degree is preferred.
- 8–10 years of overall Test/QA experience is required.
- Strong backend testing and REST API testing experience.
- Experience with test automation using Cucumber and Selenium.
- Experience testing AWS cloud-based web applications and web services.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies including white box, equivalence class partitioning, pairwise, state transition, boundary value, and decision table testing.
- Experience with at least one test case management tool such as TestRail, Zephyr, EggPlant, or TestLodge.
- Experience with Docker, Atlassian tools, CI tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo, and cloud deployments using AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience with products that include a hardware component and an Agile software development environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of software development life cycles, software concepts, test methodologies, and change and release management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt to complex environments and learn new concepts.
