Base Salary
$106k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead application architecture design and technical decision-making.
- Design and develop microservices and REST APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Batch, Hibernate, and JPA.
- Design, deploy, and support cloud-native solutions on AWS.
- Implement infrastructure as code and CI/CD release automation.
- Build containerized and orchestrated applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Develop event-driven solutions using Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, and Kinesis.
- Design and optimize Oracle, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and NoSQL databases.
- Lead production support, incident management, performance tuning, and monitoring.
- Mentor teams, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- 12–15 years of software engineering experience.
- Expertise in Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate, JPA, and microservices architecture.
- Extensive AWS cloud development and solution design experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kafka and distributed systems.
- Expertise in CI/CD, DevOps, release automation, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, TDD, JUnit, BDD, Cucumber, Karate, and Drools Rule Engine.
- Advanced SQL database design and performance optimization skills.
- Experience leading Agile Scrum teams, with Linux administration and shell scripting knowledge.
- Preferred AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Developer certification.
- React or Angular experience, cloud modernization experience, OpenShift/Kubernetes administration, and financial services, banking, or payments experience are preferred.
