Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective GCP cloud environments.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code and automation using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or comparable tools.
- Implement IAM, security controls, compliance practices, and cloud networking including VPCs, subnets, firewalls, VPNs, and interconnects.
- Build and operate CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and alerting, backup and disaster recovery, databases, containerized applications, and Kubernetes platforms.
- Optimize cloud spending through committed use discounts, autoscaling, and resource right-sizing.
- Provide a self-service platform and foundational tooling that improves developer productivity, reliability, security, and compliance.
Requirements
- Strong experience with GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, networking, Kubernetes, and serverless technologies.
- Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, and GitOps workflows.
- Understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking, compliance, and operational resilience.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Stackdriver, Prometheus, or Datadog.
- Strong cloud infrastructure troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Google Cloud certifications such as Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect, or Professional DevOps Engineer are advantageous.
- Ability to use AI tools productively while applying critical judgment for responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
