Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements, data flows, business logic, system architecture, database interactions, and cloud integrations.
- Contribute to test strategy, test plans, effort estimation, risk identification, and comprehensive test scenario definition.
- Design, write, maintain, and execute test cases covering data integrity, transformation logic, reporting accuracy, functional behavior, integration, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing.
- Create and manage large test datasets for complex, performance, and stress-testing scenarios in cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain Java-based test automation using appropriate tools and frameworks, with emphasis on data-driven and API testing.
- Identify, troubleshoot, document, and retest defects in JIRA, including clear reproduction steps for complex data and cloud architectures.
- Coordinate testing with internal teams, third-party vendors, and business users, including UAT support.
- Promote testing standards and best practices, organize monthly stakeholder demos, and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on software testing experience focused on complex data-centric projects and backend systems.
- Strong hands-on Oracle database testing experience, including data integrity and quality validation, database object testing, source-to-target validation, and advanced SQL.
- Experience or strong familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub, including testing applications and data pipelines deployed on GCP.
- Solid Java programming skills for developing scalable test automation frameworks and scripts.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, REST Assured, JUnit or TestNG, HP ALM, and JIRA.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, SDLC, and black-box, white-box, system, integration, regression, performance, and security testing techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication, teamwork, stakeholder collaboration, problem-solving, and delivery-focused working skills.
- Experience in financial services or wealth management and coordinating UAT activities is preferred.
- Openness to learning and adapting to new cloud data platforms and test automation tools is preferred.
