
Software Engineer Telematics
HARMAN InternationalResponsibilities
- Study customer and internal specifications and create component design documents based on the software architecture.
- Develop, modify, port, debug, and maintain embedded C++ software components on Linux.
- Perform functional, unit, and system testing; participate in code reviews and verify software fixes.
- Analyze root causes, resolve defects and performance issues, and improve required KPIs.
- Clarify technical requirements with internal and external stakeholders and coordinate development with peers and customers.
- Specify and implement unit tests and ensure software designs and code meet requirements and quality standards.
- Travel internationally up to 20% for training or coordination.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another relevant IT-connected specialization.
- At least 4 years of experience as a software developer.
- At least 3 years of experience with C++.
- Good knowledge of Embedded Linux and Linux, including embedded application development.
- Knowledge of inter-process communication, threading, socket communication, embedded operating systems, and software development processes.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Preferred experience with TCP, UDP, MQTT, CAN, Linux Kernel, and Unified Modeling Language.
- Knowledge of Scrum or SAFe Agile methods is a bonus.
