AES - SW Engineer - SWDL
HARMAN InternationalResponsibilities
- Study customer and internal specifications and create component design documents based on the software architecture.
- Develop C++ software components for embedded Linux telematics applications.
- Clarify ambiguous technical requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform functional, unit, and system testing and participate in code reviews.
- Analyze existing embedded software to add features, modify functionality, fix bugs, and port software to other platforms.
- Debug software using gdb, perform root cause analysis, implement fixes, and verify their effectiveness.
- Identify product requirements and performance issues and work with the software team leader on resolutions.
- Improve required KPIs and propose optimal technical solutions.
- Coordinate software development with HARMAN teams and work with customers to define requirements and resolve issues.
- Occasionally travel internationally for training or coordination with other groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another relevant IT-connected specialization.
- At least 4 years of experience as a software developer.
- At least 3 years of C++ development experience.
- Good knowledge of Embedded Linux and Linux.
- Experience developing embedded applications and working with embedded operating systems.
- Knowledge of inter-process communication, threading, and socket communication.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Working knowledge of software development processes.
- Preferred experience with TCP and UDP protocols, UML, and Linux Kernel development.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 20%.
