AES - SW Engineer - Security
HARMAN InternationalResponsibilities
- Review software specifications, architecture, and design documents and translate requirements into component designs.
- Develop, modify, port, debug, and maintain embedded C++ software components on Linux.
- Perform code reviews, functional testing, unit testing, and system-level testing.
- Analyze issues, determine root causes, implement fixes, and verify their effectiveness.
- Work with internal stakeholders, customers, and software team leaders to clarify requirements and resolve technical issues.
- Develop risk assessments for critical fixes, break down complex tasks, and drive complex software development activities.
- Participate in design reviews and coordinate software development with peers across the HARMAN organization.
- May direct the work of one or two other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another relevant IT-related specialization.
- At least three years of experience as a software developer.
- At least two years of demonstrated C++ development experience.
- Expertise with Linux and experience developing embedded applications.
- Knowledge of inter-process communication, threading, socket communication, embedded operating systems, and software development processes.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Preferred: experience with TCP and UDP protocols, UML, secure boot, TEE, DEV/Sec mode switching, and Linux Kernel operation.
- Preferred: knowledge of Scrum and SAFe Agile software development methods.
