Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable applications with an emphasis on design, code quality, and maintainability.
  • Build backend services using Java 17+ and apply object-oriented principles, SOLID practices, and design patterns.
  • Contribute to microservices-based and event-driven applications using Spring Boot.
  • Translate requirements into efficient and reliable technical implementations.
  • Develop and deploy solutions in a CI/CD-enabled environment such as PCF.
  • Implement appropriate RDBMS and NoSQL persistence solutions, including Cassandra.
  • Participate in proof-of-concepts and technology evaluations with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Identify and resolve issues during development and testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate technical progress and challenges, and participate in Agile ceremonies.
  • Support and mentor junior developers when required and continue learning emerging technologies and development practices.

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in backend or full-stack development with a focus on building quality software.
  • Good understanding of Java, Spring Boot, and modern application development practices.
  • Experience with or exposure to event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and online or real-time systems.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools.
  • Working knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL database technologies such as Cassandra.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as PCF or similar platforms and digital-native architectures is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and learning skills.
  • Basic mentoring capability and willingness to support team growth.
