Base Salary
$179k - $269k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop systems architectures, requirements, and verification plans for perception functions.
- Contribute to software architecture and requirements.
- Define use cases and bounding scenarios for perception capabilities.
- Design and build metrics and tooling for verification and testing.
- Act as a cross-functional expert in software, algorithms, and hardware related to perception.
- Analyze on-car results to identify performance improvements.
- Work with testing teams to implement in-car tests.
- Collaborate with analytics and data science teams to implement metrics at scale.
- Prototype tools in Python or C++ to analyze perception performance.
- Perform data-driven trade studies on hardware and software alternatives.
- Cultivate a healthy, diverse work culture with an emphasis on safety.
- Develop, mentor, and coach others in your area of expertise.
- Act as a subject matter expert across perception functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years, or a PhD.
- Proven track record of delivering high-priority assignments efficiently.
- Experience in a professional environment emphasizing safety and software testing.
- Strong desire to learn new technology and software skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on safety and procedure.
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel to remote offices and test facilities as needed.
