Responsibilities
- Develop customer engagement strategies with Account Executives for the assigned territory.
- Architect, design, and support adoption of complex data analytics and Data & AI solutions on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
- Lead technical pre-sales activities including use-case discovery, solution scoping, solution architecture, and complex proofs of concept.
- Deliver customer-facing workshops, seminars, meet-ups, and technical collateral.
- Engage stakeholders from engineers to executives and communicate technical and business value propositions.
- Coach and mentor junior Solutions Architects and help teams prioritize use cases and build technical champions.
- Collaborate with the broader cloud ecosystem, third-party applications, customers, and internal account teams.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in technical pre-sales or consultancy with a strong background in data science, traditional machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence, or Generative AI.
- Experience architecting end-to-end Data and AI solutions, including Generative AI concepts such as fine-tuning, RAG, and MLOps for LLMs.
- Experience using open-source or ISV tools such as Dataiku, Domino, or DataRobot.
- Strong proficiency in a core programming language such as Python or SQL and willingness to learn or existing knowledge of Spark.
- Proficiency with big data analytics technologies and public cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on expertise designing and delivering complex proofs of concept.
- Experience across the full pre-sales lifecycle and in presenting solution designs to diverse technical and executive audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor junior team members.
- Databricks or other relevant cloud/data certifications are preferred.
- Ability to commute regularly to the London office and travel approximately 20–30% across UK&I and EMEA.
