Pre-sales Senior Technical Solutions Engineer (Data and AI)

Responsibilities
- Build successful client relationships across the assigned territory in collaboration with an Account Executive and Senior Solutions Architect.
- Generate customer interest through hands-on Databricks evaluations, Spark programming, cloud ecosystem integrations, and third-party application integrations.
- Engage with the technical community through workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
- Advise customers on Big Data Analytics architecture and design.
- Author reference architectures, how-to guides, and demonstration applications.
- Develop technical and pre-sales capabilities toward independently operating as a Solutions Architect.
Requirements
- Technical customer-facing experience with a background in Data Science, Generative AI, Machine Learning, Data Warehousing, or Data Engineering.
- Experience in pre-sales or post-sales work with external clients.
- Ability to create customer narratives, answer questions, align agendas with business interests, and achieve tangible outcomes.
- Ability to independently deliver technical propositions, identify customer pain points, and explain business value.
- Programming experience in Python, Java, or Scala.
- Knowledge of a Big Data Analytics domain, advanced proofs of concept, and at least one major public cloud platform such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with solution architecture and design.
- Experience in one or more of Entertainment, Media, Telco, Hospitality, Financial Services and Insurance, or Retail/CPG.
- Databricks Certification is a preferred qualification.
- Willingness to travel to UK customer sites approximately 20–30% of the time.
