Responsibilities
- Build scalable, fault-tolerant cloud-native AI services on Microsoft Azure.
- Develop secure, documented public APIs and SDKs for internal and external developers.
- Collaborate across data pipelines, orchestration, service APIs, model deployment, model training, and AI tooling.
- Embed security controls for sensitive data, authentication, authorization, and privacy.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, architecture discussions, and engineering quality practices.
- Mentor junior developers and promote continuous learning and innovation.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 3 years working directly on AI/ML systems or platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and PaaS services such as Azure Functions, AKS, and API Management.
- Strong expertise in public API design, versioning, testing, and lifecycle management, including API security and data privacy.
- Experience with LLMs, RAG, agent orchestration, prompt engineering, tool calling, and AI standards such as MCP and A2A.
- Strong knowledge or experience with regression, classification, clustering, and deep learning algorithms.
- Experience with AI frameworks, tools, Python, AI model deployment or training, and AI tooling development.
- Knowledge of AI ethics and regulations such as NIST AI RMF and the EU AI Act.
- Experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot and prompt engineering for development tasks.
- Familiarity with AI orchestration tools including AI Foundry, Semantic Kernel, or MAF.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems, propose scalable solutions, collaborate across global teams, and mentor junior developers.
- Experience with automated testing and evaluation of AI outputs is preferred.
