Base Salary
$140k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate reliable cloud infrastructure for critical production and non-production applications.
- Architect and evolve multi-account AWS foundations, including organizations, accounts, IAM boundaries, guardrails, and environment separation.
- Design and operate cloud networking architecture covering VPCs, routing, segmentation, ingress and egress, and connectivity.
- Build automation and tooling that reduces operational errors, shortens recovery time, and improves daily operations.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to make system behavior observable and actionable.
- Use AI-assisted tools for infrastructure delivery, automation, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis while validating outcomes.
- Implement progressive delivery, safe rollbacks, and change-risk controls for releases.
- Provide production support during deployments, participate in incident response, perform root-cause analysis, and prevent recurrence.
- Partner with application engineers on system design, operations, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain lightweight documentation supporting shared ownership and on-call operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent education and work experience.
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or similar roles supporting production application services.
- Strong CI/CD experience, preferably with Jenkins and Git-based workflows, including secure and reliable pipeline development.
- Experience implementing and operating observability platforms for logging, metrics, and alerting; Elastic Stack or OpenSearch experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating AWS environments, including networking, IAM, security, reliability, cost awareness, and application-team enablement.
- Infrastructure as Code experience, preferably Terraform or alternatively CloudFormation, including reusable modules and review-based automated change management.
- Experience supporting CI/CD builds and deployment patterns for application stacks such as Java, Node.js, and .NET.
- Scripting experience in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Experience working on large-scale cloud-based web applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, presentation, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with AI agentic development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Windsurf and practical experience applying them to infrastructure and operations workflows.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, collaborate across geographically distributed teams, and turn loosely defined concepts into deliverables.
