Responsibilities
- Lead strategic customer engagements focused on modernizing data, analytics, and AI platforms.
- Translate business challenges into scalable cloud, data, and AI solutions.
- Design and deliver solution demonstrations, workshops, architecture reviews, and proof-of-concept engagements.
- Partner with sales, customer success, engineering, and partner teams on technical strategies and customer transformation.
- Guide adoption of modern data platforms, analytics capabilities, governance practices, and AI-enabled experiences.
- Influence architecture and technology decisions with technical and business stakeholders throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Contribute to competitive strategy, technical readiness, solution innovation, market insights, and best practices.
- Mentor peers and contribute to technical communities and continuous learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, consulting, data engineering, database administration, analytics, or cloud technology roles.
- Experience designing or implementing enterprise-scale data, database, and analytics solutions.
- Experience engaging technical and business stakeholders in customer-facing environments.
- Experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL Database and Managed Instance, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, and modern analytics platforms.
- Hands-on database migration and modernization experience, including estate assessment, heterogeneous migration, and modernization tooling.
- Hands-on experience building end-to-end analytics solutions in Microsoft Fabric or comparable platforms such as Databricks, including Lakehouse/Warehouse, Data Factory pipelines, Spark, notebooks, semantic models, Power BI, and Real-Time Intelligence.
- Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, performance tuning, security, resilience, cost optimization, Fabric capacity sizing, and workload and cost management.
- Familiarity with AI grounding on databases, vector stores, RAG, and connecting operational data to AI and Copilot experiences.
- Understanding of data engineering, data warehousing, analytics, governance, and modern data architectures across cloud-native and hybrid environments.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

- The typical base pay range is £61,900.00–£105,500.00 per year in the United Kingdom.
