Responsibilities
- Analyze and improve existing ETL workflows for data accuracy, enrichment, scalability, and processing efficiency.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Core Java and Spring Boot.
- Collaborate with data architects and analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimize ETL processes and troubleshoot production issues involving ETL pipelines and backend services.
- Document ETL processes and enhancements.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration and delivery efforts.
- Mentor junior developers and promote strong coding practices.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional backend development experience using Core Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and data transformation principles.
- Experience with databases, SQL, MongoDB, complex data structures, data enrichment, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and data workflow optimization.
- Experience in financial or large-scale data environments is preferred.
- Must be located in Montreal for hybrid work.
