Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with server and client engineers to establish, integrate, and test end-to-end functionality.
  • Use and design REST-based HTTP APIs.
  • Work with the game’s user interface technology stack.
  • Design, implement, test, debug, and maintain code for game features and components.
  • Architect and document technical designs for game technology and features.
  • Improve development processes and best practices to achieve targets.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical game developers across local and remote teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
  • 5+ years of software development experience and demonstrated good development practices.
  • Strong grasp of C++ programming, best practices, and architectural considerations.
  • Understanding of object-oriented design and online services using HTTP via REST.
  • Good debugging skills and familiarity with network programming and memory management.
  • Familiarity with XML and JSON formats.
  • Experience with Visual Studio and source control systems.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of legacy code and legacy code risk mitigation.
  • Experience with live-service games, live games, or commerce services is beneficial or preferred.

Benefits

  • British Columbia base pay range of $104,500-$142,800 CAD, depending on location.
  • Three weeks of vacation per year to start and 10 days of sick time per year.
