Base Salary
$135k - $216k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support system architecture design, integration planning, and technical decision documentation.
- Lead source-to-target mapping specifications for ETL pipeline development.
- Design application integration architecture, including API endpoints, data access patterns, and decision logic integration points.
- Develop and maintain integration diagrams, data flow diagrams, API specifications, and other architecture documentation.
- Design interoperability testing architecture covering API connectivity, authentication, data exchange protocols, metadata alignment, and end-to-end data flows.
- Develop production migration runbooks covering cutover steps, validation checks, deployment sequences, and rollback procedures.
- Review code and pipeline deployments and enforce peer-review requirements.
- Support technical compliance validation, decision-logic correctness, and consultation-routing accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of professional experience, or a master’s degree and 10 years, or an associate’s degree and 16 years, or a high school diploma/equivalent and 18 years.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Extensive systems architecture or technical design experience on federal IT programs.
- Experience designing API integration architectures, federal data flows, interoperability testing, technical documentation, and production migration runbooks.
- Knowledge of federal IT governance frameworks and hybrid AWS cloud platform standards.
- Familiarity with Git or equivalent version-control platforms and REST API design standards.
- Proficiency producing architecture artifacts such as integration diagrams and API specifications.
- A master’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, or a related technical field is preferred.
- TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification is preferred.
- Experience with Databricks, Delta Live Tables, AWS cloud ETL architectures, FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST SP 800-171, IPaC, DKey, DOI, FWS, or NOAA Fisheries environments is preferred.
- AWS Solutions Architect or AWS DevOps Engineer Professional certification is preferred.
