Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate core components of the AI Engineering Platform, including training and experimentation infrastructure, the Batch Platform, agent development frameworks, and the AI Studio developer experience.
- Design and operate large-scale scheduled and on-demand batch scoring, offline model execution, and high-throughput data pipelines for training and feature generation.
- Build self-service APIs, SDKs, and tooling for engineers and data scientists to train, fine-tune, deploy, evaluate, and monitor models and agents.
- Extend agent runtimes and orchestration primitives covering tool calling, memory, planning, and multi-agent coordination.
- Maintain infrastructure for distributed training, high-throughput batch processing, and efficient GPU and compute-cluster utilization.
- Optimize training and batch workloads through distributed scheduling, caching, quantization, and compute right-sizing.
- Embed governance, responsible AI, audit, monitoring, drift detection, hallucination detection, and anomaly detection into platform components.
- Partner with the AI Context Platform, AI Runtime Services, and AI Governance Platform teams.
- Use AI coding agents and LLM-powered developer tools in day-to-day engineering work.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Professional experience in software engineering, ML engineering, or platform/infrastructure engineering.
- Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning concepts, including model training, evaluation, transformer and foundation-model architectures, and embeddings.
- Strong software and systems engineering fundamentals in distributed systems, API and SDK design, and cloud infrastructure.
- Proficiency in at least one of Python, Java, or Go.
- Hands-on fluency with coding agents, copilots, and LLM-based development tools.
- Preferred: 4 or more years of relevant work experience.
- Preferred: experience with foundation models or large language models, prompting, fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation, and evaluation frameworks.
- Preferred: experience with AI agent systems, tool calling, multi-agent orchestration, memory systems, or agent frameworks.
- Preferred: experience building internal developer platforms, SDKs, or self-service tooling.
- Preferred: experience with feature stores, embedding/vector systems, knowledge graphs, or memory systems.
- Preferred: experience with distributed scheduling, quantization, caching, compute right-sizing, high-scale production systems, or AI governance and responsible-AI controls.

- US salary range of $123,400.00 to $191,100.00 per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.
