Base Salary
$150k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical roadmap and execution plan for deploying a product suite to a government-authorized system.
- Design, build, and harden the product suite in a compliant cloud environment.
- Work with product teams to develop hands-on solutions that satisfy security controls.
- Implement change control, security impact analysis, testing and validation plans, and stakeholder notifications.
- Serve as the subject matter expert and provide progress reports, external talking points, and technical guidance.
- Mentor engineers on secure design and operational excellence in regulated environments.
- Create guidelines, documentation, and architecture diagrams for internal and external audiences.
- Translate government compliance language into practical engineering requirements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in DevSecOps or a related capacity.
- Experience deploying software into government-authorized environments, including IL6 or JWICS.
- Full-stack experience and willingness to work across the React, Node, and Python stack.
- Strong security foundation and experience developing software against security controls such as NIST SP 800-53 and related frameworks such as OSCAL.
- Experience producing software accreditation documentation, including deployment runbooks, System Security Plans, and CONOPS.
- Experience working with AWS and in fast-paced environments.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Active U.S. TS Security clearance with SCI Eligibility is required.
- Experience working for a DoD contractor or government agency is valued.
- Candidates located in or willing to relocate to San Diego are preferred; otherwise, frequent travel to San Diego is required.
