Responsibilities
- Ensure the availability, stability, health, monitoring, and operational readiness of program resources supporting operations, experimentation, development, and testing.
- Develop automated system-health reporting and improve platform, application, and data monitoring processes.
- Perform software sustainment and automate configuration management across multiple environments.
- Design, develop, integrate, and deploy a Hybrid Container/Virtualization Platform as a Service for containerized and virtualized workloads across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Integrate identity and single sign-on, PKI, DNS, logging and SIEM, monitoring, secrets management, container registry, and artifact repository services.
- Configure and tune container runtimes, CNI and CSI plugins, ingress controllers, service meshes, and cluster networking.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code automation for repeatable and auditable platform deployments.
- Support automated testing, daily functional verification and validation, incident response, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and system-deficiency documentation.
- Support Authority to Operate efforts, vulnerability remediation, and continuous compliance monitoring with cybersecurity teams.
- Integrate GPU-enabled workloads, including driver configuration, device plugins, and scheduling for AI/ML computing use cases.
- Mentor junior engineers and cross-functional stakeholders on containerization, virtualization, and cloud-native best practices.
Requirements
- Experienced software integration engineer capable of supporting systems engineering, software development, hardware and software integration, cybersecurity, and mission-system integration efforts.
- Ability to design and implement hybrid container and virtualization platforms across multiple environments and security enclaves.
- Experience with platform monitoring, automated testing, configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, distributed databases, software-defined networking, container orchestration, and DevSecOps.
- Ability to collaborate with platform architects, security engineers, application teams, network engineers, site reliability engineers, helpdesk teams, and cybersecurity personnel.
- Knowledge of integrating vendor and mission software while meeting compatibility, scalability, security, and enterprise compliance requirements.
- Ability to support GPU-enabled AI/ML workloads through driver, device-plugin, and scheduling configuration.
- Ability to establish standard operating procedures and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and stakeholders.
