Base Salary
$110k - $130k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build the conversion funnel for New York Times customers across platforms and services.
- Develop features across desktop and mobile that explain subscription benefits and improve conversion.
- Improve payment workflows for digital and print subscriptions.
- Collaborate with design, data, marketing, product, project, and engineering partners to ship measurable business-impacting features.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, A/B test brainstorming, and an on-call rotation.
- Develop, test, and operate features end-to-end from ideation through production.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of full-time software engineering experience building and supporting user-facing features in large-scale web applications using TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks such as React.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git.
- Familiarity with server-side web development using Node.js, Go, or a similar language, or a clear interest in learning it.
- Experience collaborating with designers, product managers, and engineers to ship features.
- Preferred: experience with A/B testing or experimentation platforms.
- Preferred: experience with consumer-facing or subscription products.
- Preferred: experience with sales or growth programs such as revenue-focused features, funnels, or acquisition and retention projects.
