Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and technical strategy for multi-team Azure modernization and transformation programs.
- Translate client goals into scalable solution designs aligned with business priorities, non-functional requirements, constraints, and outcomes.
- Provide architecture oversight during implementation, including design and code reviews, reusable patterns, guardrails, and integration alignment.
- Lead discovery, roadmap, backlog, dependency, risk, and delivery planning for programs and large workstreams.
- Communicate architecture decisions and trade-offs to technical leaders, executives, and other stakeholders.
- Mentor architects, senior engineers, and technical leads and support hiring, calibration, and development planning.
- Partner with sales and account leaders on strategic pursuits, workshops, demos, estimates, and solution strategy.
- Build reusable reference architectures, runbooks, workshops, starter repositories, and templates.
- Champion modern frameworks, platform capabilities, automation, AI-assisted tools, quality, speed, reliability, and secure delivery.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience delivering solutions in a primary technical domain.
- 5+ years of experience in solution architecture and leading development or engineering teams, including multi-team or multi-workstream efforts.
- Deep expertise in AI agents and orchestration, search and retrieval, LLM evaluation and operations, responsible AI, security and privacy, AI platforms, data foundations, cloud engineering, data integration and governance, and analytics and visualization.
- Hands-on experience with Azure-based modernizations, transformations, or platform build-outs and relevant Azure or Databricks certifications in AI, Data, or Architecture.
- Experience with hybrid and remote teams, Agile or Scrum at scale, backlog management, work slicing, and dependency handling.
- Experience in consulting or professional services and large, matrixed Global System Integrator environments.
- Ability to remain hands-on with architecture and implementation while guiding complex cloud solutions across teams.
- Experience using AI-augmented development and integrating AI or machine learning capabilities through APIs, frameworks, or cloud AI services.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, and stakeholder relationship skills.
- Knowledge of core concepts, languages, frameworks, and design patterns in a primary technical domain and ability to apply them at program scale.
